             Saudi accepts deported Pilgrims.

The Federal Government delegation led by Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Waziri Tambwal, on Monday returned to the country with good news that the Saudi Arabian authority has accepted that those deported Nigerian pilgrims with valid visas would be allowed entry into the holy land.

Tambuwal said “Our interface with the Saudi Arabia authorities has been very successful. The delegation was well received and we have had a very serious and deep engagement with them. All of those pilgrims who have secured valid visas are being taken back. And the understanding we have secured with them is that they will be allowed entry into Saudi Arabia.

The second success story is that we have reinforced the longstanding relationship between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia. Assurances have been given to that. Also if need be, we have requested for them to extend the time of airlift and also to extend the time for issuance of visa to our pilgrims. On the whole, it was a very successful engagement.”
